Easy Crockpot Italian Beef Sandwiches

Crockpot meals are my favorite. You put all of your ingredients in one pot, let it cook all day long. At the end of the day, your meal is ready for you, and your house smells wonderful.

These Crockpot Italian Beef Sandwiches are great because they are so tender, juicy, delicious, and only require six ingredients.

  • Pot Roast
  • Jar of Pepercini Peppers
  • Salt and Peper
  • Provolone Cheese
  • Sub Rolls
  • Water

Equipment You Will Need for the Crockpot Italian Beef Sandwiches

  • Crockpot
  • Forks for Shredding
  • Baking Sheet if you bought take and bake bread, which I usually do.

Recipe Tips

  • Start cooking the roast in the crockpot in the morning so that it has plenty of time to cook. Your meat may take less time or more time depending on the size of your meat, and the temperature of your crockpot.
  • You can use pre-chopped pepperoncini peppers if you do not like them whole. I would not recommend using the whole jar of them.

Equipment

  • Crockpot
  • Forks for shredding the beef
  • Baking Sheet if you purchased take and bake bread.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Roast Beef
  • 1 16 oz Jar of pepperoncini Peppers in the juices
  • 1 Package of Sliced Provolone Cheese
  • 6 Sub Rolls I buy take and bake bread because I like it crispy
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season the roast with salt and pepper. Take it easy of the salt because the juice from the pepperoncini's is salty. Add 1/2 of the juice in the jar from the pepperoncini's to the crockpot.
  • Cut the tops off the pepperoncini's and add all of them to the crockpot. Add 1 cup of water, and cook the roast on low for 6 hours. The roast should easily fall apart when poked with a fork.
  • Bake or prepare the sandwich bread. I like to melt the cheese by broiling the sandwich bread with the cheese on it before I add the meat. It should only take 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese on broil. Keep an eye on it constantly, so it does not burn.
  • Add the meal to your sandwiches and enjoy!
