- 4 oz Cream Cheese Softened
- 1/2 cup Butter Softened (equal to 1 stick)
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
For the Cookie Coating
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
Cookie Dough Preparation
In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together butter and cream cheese until smooth. Then, slowly add powdered sugar and beat until creamy
Add baking powder salt, egg, and vanilla extract and mix until completely combined
Gradually add all-purpose flour until dough is completely combined. The dough should be look and feel fairly sticky.
Wrap or cover dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour, or until chilled
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
Once cookies have been chilled, remove from the fridge and begin scooping cookies using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon (this makes sure they are all the same size). Roll each ball until smooth in your hands.
Roll each cookie dough ball through sugar and cinnamon mixture until completely coated and place on prepared baking sheet 1 1/2 inches- 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cookies may seem very soft at this point. Take them out anyways, they will not get golden brown, they will set as you allow the to cool.
Let cookies cool on baking sheet for at least 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a plate or cooling rack.
