Baby Registry Checklist- Everything You Need For Your First Baby

Hello Ladies, I wanted to put together a list of everything we registered for on our Baby Registry. This is our first child, and we need just about EVERYTHING. We have done tons of research on all of the products and what exactly we will need. I used BabyList for our registry and absolutely loved it. It was easy to use, and if they do not have what you are looking for, you can easily link items from any store. This keeps everything in one place which makes it easier for you to complete your registry and easier for gift-givers as well.

Below is also a checklist of everything you will want to register for your first child and our specific registry items we chose. Stay tuned for our product reviews after the baby comes.

(THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE TO YOU. OUR FULL DISCLOSURE IS REALLY BORING, BUT YOU CAN READ IT BY CLICKING HERE).

What We Put On Our Registry

Below are links to the larger items we registered for. We have done tons of research on all of the products and were recommended quite a few products by friends and family that recently had babies. I hope you find this useful. I did not list absolutely everything we registered for, but I have linked a good majority of our list.

Nursery

Crib – We were lucky enough that my grandpa kept my old Jenny Lind Crib for all of these years. I think it is so special that I get to use my old crib for our sweet baby girl. Our crib is obviously a lot older but looks the exact same as the one I linked from Amazon below.

Baby Crib

Mattress – We liked this Graco Mattress. It is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and has amazon reviews. Meaning it has been vigorously tested. It is free of prohibited phthalates, lead, and mercury, meets or exceeds all applicable ASTM International and CPSC safety standards, and meets all applicable federal flammability standards. It is the recommended firmness for newborns.

Baby Mattress

Bedding– I have found the most adorable boho bedding from Wayfair. It comes with a bed sheet, crib skirt, blanket, and a diaper sack. The only downfall is that this does not come with bumpers.

Fringe 4 Piece Crib Bedding Set

Changing Table- We found the matching Jenny Lind Changing Table on Facebook Market Place for $15, so we snagged that. It was originally wooden, but we had left over white paint from painting our cabinets, and just painted it real quickly. The link to the changing table is below.

Baby Registry- Baby Changing Table

Changing Pad – We registered for the Munchkin Secure Grip Waterproof Diaper Changing Pad. We liked this changing pad because it is easily washed, has extra grips to keep it in place, and has safety straps.

Diaper Changing Mat

Rocker/Glider- We fell in love with the Pottery Barn Kids glider. We chose the performance fabric in the color gray. As much as I wanted a white rocker, I know that It will only get dirty quickly, so we went with this beautiful grey color instead.

Baby Registry Glider Chair

Baby Monitor – We registered for the Owlet baby Monitor with the Smart Sock. The Smart Sock is neat because it monitors your baby’s vitals while it is sleeping, and alerts your if anything is wrong. This was a huge sticking point when we were searching for a baby monitor. I feel like this will give us peace of mind as we try to sleep. Yes, it is expensive, but I think that being able to sleep at night will be well worth it.

Baby Monitor

Night Light – We were recommended the Hatch Night Light and Sound Machine by one of my friends who is currently pregnant with her second child. She said it was her favorite item she registered for. I have heard so many good things about this product and was told to go with the basic model.

Baby Gear

Car Seat and Stroller (Travel System)- Nuna Tavo & Pipa lite LX Travel System. We chose this after much research and recommendations from multiple friends. This is another expensive item, but it has great safety rating, easy to use, and is very light. It is also convenient that the car seat can fit into the stroller, seamlessly working together.

Baby Stroller

Bassinet- We decided to go with the Halo Bassinest Swivel Sleeper Luxe Series. Some of our friends had recommended the Snoo, but after much consideration, we chose to go with the Halo. The Snoo is extremely expensive. They do have an option to rent it, but I would rather own one since we plan on having more than one child. The Halo’s sides lower making it easier to get to your baby at night. It also has soothing sounds and gentle vibrations to create a peaceful environment for your little one to rest safely.

Halo Bassinet

Lounger/Bouncer- We chose the Mamaroo. Many of our friends have recommended this product to us. The Mamaroo has five unique swinging motions, is machine washable, and can hold a child up to 25 lbs.

baby lounger

Pack and Play/ Travel Crib- We choose the Guava Family Lotus Travel Crib. It is easy to set up, nicely packs up into a backpack and is light. These were all pluses for us since we travel a lot to visit family and friends. The mattress is noted to be thin, but we figure that everywhere we travel will have blankets if we need to cushion it more when our baby gets older.

Pack and Play

Nursing Pillow- We went with the Boppy Nursing Pillow. This one comes without a cover, but you can order covers separately. All of the Boppy Products have amazing reviews.

Nursing Pillow

New Born Lounger– We also chose the Boppy New Born Lounger. Like I mentioned above all of the Boppy products have great reviews and are way less expensive than the Doc-A-Tot which retails for $175.

Baby Lounger

Feeding

Breast Pump- We have not decided on a breast pump yet, but when we do I will link it here. You can get a free breast pump through your insurance, you just need to call them and ask what their process is to qualify for one.

Bottles- We registered for the following bottles.

Baby Bottles

Bottle Sterilizer- Philips Avent 3-in-1 Electric Steam Sterilizer for Baby Bottles, Pacifiers, Cups and More.

Bottle Sterilizer

Baby Food- Baby Nutribullet. I am very excited about this item. It is great for making your own baby food once the baby is 6 mo. +. I love the idea of making baby food at home. That way you know exactly what goes into the food, and know that it is fresh with no preservatives.

Clothing

We did not register for any clothing, we were lucky to get a lot of hand-me-downs from friends and family members. We were lucky enough to have a few people reach out over Facebook offering us clothes their daughters had recently grown out of. However, I have listed a few of our favorite stores below.
